If you love lobster's succulent flavor and the hint of sweetness and creaminess of delicious shrimp, then you need to try our Chilean Langostinos! Not only are these Chilean Langostinos bursting with flavor, but they are also considered a relatively rare ingredient in most grocery stores. But at Wholey's, you know we are all about introducing national cuisine and exploring flavors and dishes from around the world, delivered right to your door!

What can you do with our two pounds of Chilean Langostinos? Suppose you are seeking a substitution for lobster or shrimp meat. In that case, Langostinos bridge the gap with flavors of both, allowing you to make any recipe for shrimp or lobster with Langostinos. You can prepare whole, small langoustines as a simple dish by boiling them in salted water and serving them so anyone can dig in, or brush them with melted butter, toss them with chopped tarragon, and bake or grill them to perfection. Easy Langostinos in Garlic Butter Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 3 Tbsp of butter
  • 3 Tbsp of olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 shallot or green onion, thinly sliced
  • Pinch of salt to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • Wholey's thawed, rinsed, and drained Chilean Langostinos, about 12 ounces
  • ½ cup of dry white wine
  • ¼ cup of freshly chopped parsley
  • ½ cup, or to taste, freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
Directions:
  1. Melt the butter in a medium-sized saucepan or cast iron skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add garlic, shallot, salt, and pepper, and saute until the shallot is translucent and soft.
  3. Add the Chilean Langostinos and the wine and cook until heated through roughly 3 minutes. Never overcook, as it can turn the Langostinos rubbery.
  4. Add the parsley, taste it, and adjust the salt and pepper if needed; serve it over your favorite pasta and sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese for a delicious, luxurious, easy meal.
