My husband and I are both on the far end of the senior citizen scale, and I have been an amputee for several years, which makes walking long distances a challenge.
Wholey's is a cafeteria-style restaurant where you order your food up front, are given a tray, and proceed to the rear, with the dining area up a long flight of stairs. While I use a walker around the house, outside the home I rely totally on my cane and my husband's arm for support.
After shopping for some time, my husband and I were both tired and entered Wholey's somewhat dragging! The thought of climbing those stairs was worrisome, but the idea of not tasting Wholey's fish before we left the city was motivation to push on.
After we got our tray, a kindly gentleman offered to carry it so my husband could assist me more. Then, much to our surprise, when we got to the foot of the stairs leading to the dining room a kindly chap employed by Wholey's in the fish department asked us to wait while he went upstairs and carried a table down for us, so we could eat on the main floor.
It was a day of kindness for my husband and me, and while we failed to obtain either of these guardian angels' names, we are very grateful for their acts of kindness in assisting us.
